*sigh* they have alot to learn about hype and failing to follow-through on hype. a couple months ago they said they'd had a beta to be released in a couple weeks... then after that missed projection it's been "coming soon"... and still nothing. they had some sort of shake-up in the team, and now they've released a couple "news posts" which are almost apologetic for deceptive status reports and lack of following through Rolling Eyes

i actually had a ton of free time available and went to their irc channel a 2-3 times to see about contributing (might i add, before their new site was created -- with no more content or real progress available) and i talked to 2-3 of their team members and was all but blown off... and in recent weeks they've said they're behind schedule and need help, especially in their coding department. perhaps they're used to being approached by people who say they can code and cannot? regardless, it doesn't make sense to me.

anyway -- with recent news posts on their site which seem somewhat desperate regarding their plan and promised timetables, sadly i don't think i'll be holding my breath any longer... and that's sad.

well, the movie looks decent...

now it's just time to get it to beta stage (and probably won't ever get beyond that -- does it seem that almost all software, nowadays, is perpetually in beta?), and then worry about getting the good old maps ported over (and NO, i'm not talking about facing asses, barnburner, thornsv100, facingbarns, thornyasses, facingthornyassesinabarn, or any of the other thousand remakes of the same idea that are all that was played).

Yeah, just need $800 for the dual Geforce 7200 Ultras that will be needed to run the game at 640 x 480 on low settings.
