so, we did this in 2006 using a different service, but this time around it looks like yahoo has a decent enough setup. plus, since many of us already are signed up for fantasy football, we've already got the accounts to add this one.

the setup for fantasy world cup looks pretty easy -- you pick the winner of each match and you can get bonus points if you correctly pick the final score of the matches (the final score bonus points is something that can be turned off, but right now it's enabled in our group). there's no complex team management or even having to know too much about any of the teams -- this should be pretty easy and fun.

i always enjoy watching world cup, i would jump in if we could get enough peeps.

You know Tom Hanks, Forrest Gump. Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe. Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon and he won a ping-pong competition? That ain’t retarded.

You went full retard, man. Never go full retard.

sorry the F(Futbol)L didn't get going. i personally blame WK. Cool

with games ending in ties - during the world cup no less, it's no wonder more people don't seem to take an intrest in the sport. i'm just glad they don't have that rule on NFL games. i enjoy soccor (futbol), but typically not enough to sit and watch a whole game.
